Pressure in Fluids

⚡ Quick Summary
Pressure at the same horizontal level in a static fluid is equal.
P = P_0 + hρg, where P is the pressure at depth h, P_0 is the atmospheric pressure, ρ is the density of the fluid, and g is the acceleration due to gravity.
Pressure at a point in a fluid depends on the depth of the point from the free surface and the density of the fluid. In equilibrium, the pressure at the same horizontal level is the same throughout the fluid.
